In bustling, modernist, libertarian Barcelona, we will follow in the footsteps of Pepe Carvalho, a crime novel hero, and accompany him in his adventures in shady areas. Carvalho, a gastronomic detective created by Catalan writer Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, loves the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas, the majestic, tree-lined, undulating avenues, but especially the two old town districts they separate: Raval and Gotico.
For him, everything is a source of wonder—a street scene, the architecture of a historic building, among others. To set the rhythm of our investigation, the soundtrack of Bigas Luna's film "Tatuaje" is perfectly suited, marking the first time our detective's adventures are brought to the screen.
